The show, Aspects, that is now up in our gallery includes six of our great artists: Andrea Joki, Amber Kempthorn, Deb Lawrence, Dana Oldfather, Frank Oriti, and Marc Ross. For the next three weeks, this blog will show two of the artists. Aspects runs until October 6th so if you haven’t come in yet, we hope to see you soon!
Andrea Joki is a painter whose kinetic language embraces gesture and geometry in distilling ideas of perception and sensory experience of place. Her work is informed through the dislocations of travel, contemplations of the natural world and our place in it. She currently lives and works in Cleveland and Los Angeles.
Amber Kempthorn explores memory and cultural mythology through drawing and collage. Her work has been exhibited locally and throughout the United States. She received her B.A. from Hiram College, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate from the Maryland Institute College of Art, and her M.F.A. in Sculpture from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Amber is an avid reader and rock and roll disciple. She was born in Akron, Ohio in 1978 and currently lives and works in Hiram, Ohio.
Artwork by both of these artists as well as Deb Lawrence, Dana Oldfather, Frank Oriti. and Marc Ross are hanging in the Bonfoey Gallery now (1710 Euclid Ave. Cleveland, OH 44115). For more information, visit the Bonfoey website.
