In the Light – October 16 through November 28, 2009
This inaugural exhibition commences Bonfoey’s exclusive representation of the work of Joseph O’Sickey. It will showcase works spanning his varied career. He is best known for his large scale paintings of garden scenes and outdoor landscapes which reflect an “impressionistic” style. His painterly style and bright, fresh colors depict the play of sunlight on the subject. The success of the works is based on his mastery of paint as a medium and color sensitivity. The result is a shimmering, fluid image that is unique to O’Sickey’s work.
